I guess this is the part where, I give you my life's story. Some call me Tony, some call me Loco, or Loc for short. Most call me, Tony "LOCO", owner and artist of , BIG TIME CUSTOMZ TATTOOS and PIERCINGS ! I have been putting ink on the skin since 1994, and started out in the Pompano area of South Florida. Ian Joseph, owner of Funhouse Tattoos in Pompano Beach, where they have a super reputable shop, and frequent host to the S. Fla. tattoo convention, which is my home town. Well old Ian, while doing one of my first tattoos, asked me if I wanted to try out learning the trade. I was like hell yeah, and wanted to jump in head first. So, I gave up my construction job, and and started pursuing my long and grueling career in this industry. Shortly thereafter, I started an apprenticeship at The World Famous, "Monkey Man's Club Tattoo", which was located in the Greater Atlanta Area. From there I took a 3 year hiatus from tattooing, while deciding the custody issues concerning my son,who is now12 years old. I have been priveledged to raise him since he was two. Once the smoke cleared from the end of an unhealthy marriage, from getting married too young, I was forced to grow alot, and I gradually came back to my passion, which was tattooing. Since, I decided to go into business for myself, and I started Fine Line Tattoos in 2000, in Douglasville, Ga. from there, we became The Tattoo Factory, Inc. Finally, December of 2003, brought around new changes. With a new location, we introduced Big Time Customz Tattoos to the World. Now we are the Hottest Tattoo Shop on the West Side of Atlanta ! I have a rocking shop, we stay busy, we serve an average of 2,ooo to 3,ooo customers and clients a year and steadily growing everyday. I have an awesome family. My wife Kristin aka "Spunk", has been a great support factor, she makes it possible for me to put in those 80-100 hour weeks, and takes care of my super awesome kids. My son is my pride and joy, minnie me, he just turned 12 this year, and my precious little princess, she just turned 2 1/2. I don't know who spoils who more, me or her? But, without them none of this would be possible. I love them with all my heart and soul! Now for my crew, we have been through a few. We have worked out some kinks and I am really happy with my artists and staff. Of course there is my faithful apprentice, "Butthole" aka Daniel, we will just have to see about him. For now, I just stay tuned into my shop and my work. It is hard to juggle all the responsibilities of being the shop owner, and fulltime artist, and accountant, web site builder, pubic relations, advertisement, and supervise all the shop activity with supplies, and just the hustle and bustle each day brings, and all the glitches that each day brings too! As far as my tattoo work, my love is black n grey, I really want to focus on portraits for the next few years. But of course gotta pay the bills so I do it all. My inspirations would be a mile long but here are a few of course my family first, ol' Monkey Man,who I believe tought me alot more about life than tattoos. Ian Joseph, for asking me if I wanted to learn to tattoo, Mike Parsons, who encouraged me to use mags back in the day, who also comes from the Monkey Man sand, Gil the drill, I just love him and his legend, and Dusty, Monk's son for all the help in my apprenticeship.Memphis Mike, for being my first inspiration in black and gray tattooing. The whole Funhouse crew back home in S. Florida aka Broward Co., and my Parents who gave me their support, mostly against there better judgement in this crazy ass business we're in.Of course now, Mom and Dad have a different outlook on things. Thanks for checking out my stuff, Owner/Artist Tony aka "LOCO"1. I hope we are here for generations to come, and I hope you are too!
